Have you ever noticed the pink-purple flower frequently used as a garnish on restaurant plates?

Whether it's Chinese cuisine, Western dishes, Japanese food, desserts, or even a cocktail, this pink-purple bloom has become almost a "standard feature" for dishes. Beyond its visual appeal, many wonder: What exactly is this flower?
