The world's first humanoid robot half-marathon kicked off in Beijing on April 19. The half-marathon marks the first time in the world that robotic and human participants run along the same route on separate tracks.

During the event, teams are permitted to replace batteries or switch robots in a relay format to complete the race. The final assessment will consider both the completion time and the number of robot replacements, with a 10-minute penalty applied for each replacement.

大赛鼓励赛队机器人全程奔跑，鼓励赛队不更换电池，不更换机器人。但为了完成比赛，机器人可能需要更大的功率来提高速度，这就会出现换电池的需求。如果遇到大风等情况或路上遇到干扰，也会允许更换备选机器人。赛道内会设置若干补给站，赛队可在补给站内更换电池、机器人和进入赛道的比赛选手。比赛过程中更换机器人每次罚时10分钟。
